Electric Eel Shock are a glorious celebration of Classic Rock, Punk and Metal. A true power trio from the time before rock became fractured into a diverse multitude of sub-genres and we were all still one big happy Rock & Roll family. "Mixing dark fuzzy stoner rock riffs with classic rock sensibilities and addictive song-writing hooks, EES occupy the gaping void somewhere between Queens Of The Stoneage, AC/DC and Black Sabbath." Kerrang "You'd have to be the most miserable of metal purists or the ultimate elitist trend follower not to allow yourself to simply enjoy this band..." Classic Rock "EES are nothing short of awesome" - Brent Hinds (Mastodon) EES left their native Japan in 1999 to see what they could make of America and they have been on a near constant world tour ever since. EES paid their way by selling merchandise and their self recorded album "SLAYERS BAY BLUES" at their gigs. Headlining a stage at the prestigious Roskilde Festival in Denmark was a key early event for the band. By 2004 EES had toured 27 countries around the world and they decided it was about time to release an album: "GO EUROPE!" became the first commercially available EES release and the band performed at 30 European Summer Festivals. Follow up album "BEAT ME" was recorded in Holland early 2005 with legendary producer Attie Bauw (Judas Priest, Scorpions, Bootsy Collins etc). BEAT ME achieved much critical acclaim from press and fans alike and EES continued to conquer the international musical scene step by step throughout 2005 and 2006 adding Australia and parts of Asia to their widening travels. In 2007 Electric Eel Shock again worked with Attie Bauw on a new album: "TRANSWORLD ULTRA ROCK" is seems to sum up the past, present and future of the band in one album. The feeling seems to span the entire EES back catalogue, including the raw inventiveness of Slayers Bay Blues, the catchy songs of the GO albums and the hard tight rock of Beat Me. This album has it all. The overall atmosphere is more positive than ever before. It's a feeling that reflects the Shock's ongoing progression, from playing every dive bar and toilet around the world to selling out larger more prestigious venues. Electric Eel Shock are a band who've worked hard to get where they are - and they're damn well going to enjoy themselves! Of course, everyone - fans old and new - are invited to join the party! Special guests on the night are local hard rockers CRIMSON. No strangers to the Stables they'll warm the crowd up nicely for what's set to be one of the most memorable gigs in the Stables history!!!

Winner of the CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award and the Grand Prize Winner of Toronto's IndieWeek, Peter Katz has been delighting listeners with his captivating blend of folk, jazz and rock music. His ethereal vocal work, profoundly honest lyrics and dynamic guitar style have earned him repeated comparisons to such greats as Jeff Buckley and Martin Sexton. Performing regularly to sold-out crowds in Ontario and Quebec and ever-increasing numbers across the country, Katz has been winning over fans the old-fashioned way: one at a time through great music and an intensely powerful live-show. As a testament to Peter Katz' remarkable grassroots efforts, his self-produced, self-released demos 'The One Minute Mile Man' and 'Split' sold over 3500 copies in less than 2 years. June 23rd, 2007 saw the release of 'More Nights', Peter Katz' first official full-length album and joined by his backing band, The Curious. The album was recorded at the legendary Metalworks Studio as well as at the Hive in Toronto with funding partially provided by a FACTOR grant. 'More Nights' features guest appearances from some of the brightest names in the music scene today including: Luke Doucet, Melissa McClelland, Kevin Breitt (Norah Jones), Valery Gore, Alex McMaster (A Northern Chorus) and Marc Rogers (K'naan, Holly Cole). Only 6 months into its independent release, the album has already sold over 2500 copies and has just been picked up by Curve/Universal Music for re-release in 2008. Recent activity for Peter Katz includes 3 successful national solo tours (100+ dates a year), invitations to play at such festivals as The Ottawa Folk Fest, Canadian Music Week, NXNE (for which he scored a 91 % on his Chart Attack report card), back to back sold-out shows at the Rivoli in Toronto, an invitation to perform for 2 weeks at the prestigious Karmina Palace in Manzanillo, Mexico as well as a special invitation by the National Arts Center to play in Vimy, France as part of the 90th anniversary re-dedication ceremony of the Vimy Monument. Katz has also managed to land several strong support spots with such notable artists as Bedouin Soundclash, Tokyo Police Club, The Cat Empire, Jeremy Fisher, Emm Gryner, Danny Michel, Melissa McClelland, Tomi Swick and many more. In addition to his blossoming music career, Peter Katz has also been receiving considerable attention as a composer, writing music for numerous modern dance choreographers, including Naomi Lebel (OMO Dance Company) & Andrea Spaziani (DanceVein, IDAC). Katz was also recently commissioned to compose an original 30-minute score for renowned international choreographer Meagan O'Shea's new work "When I See You Again" which premiered at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto as part of the Indie Unlimited Festival. Peter is currently preparing for his 5th national tour of Canada in support of the re-release of "More Nights" as well as his first tour dates in the US and Europe. "Peter Katz has steadily made a great name for himself in the Canadian music industry. His high energy performances, and well-crafted songs make him one of the best live acts I've had come through my club in years. His music seems to strike a chord in people. Combine that with his strong work ethic and it makes me wonder why no one has snatched this guy up yet. If I had the money, I'd put it into his future." Chris Loane booker for The Rivoli, Toronto, Ontario "A gifted songwriter blessed with a gorgeous, warm voice". Christa O'Keefe - See Magazine "A gifted, eloquent, songwriter". Antoine Tedesco - Scene and Heard 26th METALITIA (METALLICA TRIBUTE) & guests Decipher— Sat 26th July "Not another Metallica tribute band" you might say, "They'd never be able to pull that s*** off". Eight years and countless gigs later this Irish metal quartet must be doing something right! Since their formation in the summer of '99 Metallitia have continually brought Metallica's finest moments to an eager and hungry public. From sold out shows the length and breadth of this small country of Ireland including Temple Bar Music Centre and Belfasts famous Ulster Hall to some extremely famous drunken english dates, this band are pulling out all the stops with their high energy and visually exciting shows. This band wasn't formed because it was a chance to make a quick buck off a really popular outfit, this was from a pure love of Metallica's music and how much this music changed the face of metal and inspired the members of Metallitia to become the proficient players that they are. Metallitia originally got together to commemorate the 13th anniversary of the late great bass monster Cliff Burton, performing tracks from the first three albums only, this era of Metallica is what Metallitia love doing and do best. Everything from "Motorbreath" to "Fight Fire With Fire", "Battery" to the awesome "The Thing That Should Not Be". Since the first gig Metallitia have expanded it's reportoire to include something for every Metallica fan. If your preference is "...And Justice For All", "The Black album" or anything that followed then this show is for you! For the moment Metallitia will continue infecting peoples minds with all things Metallica. If you are in any doubt then come to a show, crack open a beer and let the metal do the talking. As Cliff once said, "we're not trying to be something big and fancy, it's just us doing what we do." Local band Decipher provide the support to Metalitia. Featuring Keith McLoughlin - Vocals, Andrey Safranovic - Guitar, Paul Martin - Guitar, Finn O'Donohoe - Drums, Gerd Kiernan - Bass. They started in early October 2006 with high expectations to gig as soon as possible. All are dedicated teenagers to music, with lots of various influences... and they love to create music The band is writing lots of original material, and trying to perfect it all the time. They keep it fresh with some covers here and there. Main influences come from the rock and metal scenes of the late 80's and early 90's, but the band have already developed their particular style with catchy riffs that are bound to make you jump around.
